  • Essential forum cookies used for forum functionality. Tracking of visits or member activity is not enabled. Currently, no forum cookies are used.

We do not collect analytics, advertising identifiers, or behavioural tracking data.

2. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used solely to:

  • Create and manage your account
  • Save, sync, and protect your writing
  • Process subscriptions and payments
  • Provide customer support
  • Provide optional writing features—including spell checking, grammar checking, proofreading, cloud storage, and PDF export—which may require secure automated processing of your text on Writersplaza servers
  • Secure, maintain, and improve platform stability
  • Moderate the Writers Forum (if used) using automated tools to detect spam, abuse, or rule violations

Most writing, editing, formatting, and local autosave can take place entirely within your browser or app. Your content is transmitted to Writersplaza servers only when required to provide optional features that you choose to use, such as cloud storage, spell checking, grammar checking, proofreading, or PDF export.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data or your writing.

3. Legal Basis for Processing (UK GDPR)

We process personal data under the following lawful bases:

  • Contractual necessity – to provide the Writersplaza services you have requested.
  • Legal obligation – for billing, accounting, fraud prevention, and compliance with applicable laws.

We do not rely on consent for core platform functionality. However, participation in the Writers Forum requires acceptance of our Terms & Conditions, Privacy & Security Policy, and Forum Rules & Moderation Policy.

4. Ownership & Confidentiality of Content

Your writing remains your intellectual property at all times.

  • You retain full ownership of all manuscripts, drafts, and uploads.
  • Private drafts are never made publicly accessible.
  • We do not read, publish, sell, licence, or share your writing.
  • We do not use your content to train artificial intelligence (AI) models.
  • Where server-side processing is required to provide optional features such as spell checking, grammar checking, proofreading, cloud storage, or PDF export, your content is processed solely for the purpose of providing the feature you have chosen to use.
  • Access to your content is limited to automated systems and authorised personnel only when necessary for technical maintenance or customer support and, where applicable, at your request.

5. Writers Forum

If you choose to participate in the Writers Forum:

  • Your posts may be publicly visible depending on the forum settings.
  • You retain ownership of the content you post.
  • You may edit or delete your posts at any time, subject to the Forum Rules & Moderation Policy.
  • Automated moderation tools may review posts to detect spam, abuse, or rule violations.

By registering and participating, you agree to the Forum Rules & Moderation Policy, our Terms & Conditions, and this Privacy & Security Policy.

6. Security Measures

We apply industry-standard safeguards to protect your data, including:

  • Encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS)
  • Secure authentication systems
  • Access controls that restrict internal access
  • Ongoing security monitoring and maintenance

While no online service can guarantee absolute security, protecting your writing is a core design principle at Writersplaza.

7. Data Retention

  • Your content is stored while your account remains active.
  • If you delete your account, your content will be removed from our active systems within a reasonable timeframe.
  • Secure backups may be retained temporarily where required for legal, security, or operational purposes.

We share data only with trusted service providers that are necessary to operate the platform, such as:
