Welcome to Writersplaza (“Platform”, “we”, “us”, “our”).
These Terms govern your access to and use of our web-based writing editor, manuscript tools, and Writers Forum. By creating an account, checking the registration consent box, or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and Forum Rules.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Platform.

You agree to use Writersplaza only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate them.

By registering, you also acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to:

2. Services Provided

Writersplaza provides:

  • Writing Editor — tools to draft novels, screenplays, and plays
  • Storage & Autosave — secure storage of manuscripts and drafts
  • Writers Forum — a community space for discussion and sharing

Private manuscripts and drafts are not publicly accessible unless you explicitly choose to share them.

3. Writers Forum Usage

If you use the Writers Forum, you agree to:

  • Post only content you own or have permission to share
  • Avoid plagiarism, harassment, hate speech, illegal material, spam, or advertising
  • Respect other users and follow our Forum Rules / Code of Conduct

You retain ownership of your forum posts.
You grant Writersplaza a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and moderate forum content solely for operating the Forum.

Forum content may be publicly visible depending on settings.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules. Moderation decisions may be appealed by contacting support.

Cookies & Tracking:
We do not use forum tracking cookies. Only strictly necessary cookies (authentication, security, session management) are used. Guest names and emails may be temporarily stored for post moderation purposes but are not tracked beyond that.

4. User Content & Intellectual Property

You retain full ownership of all manuscripts, drafts, uploads, and forum posts you create.

By using the Platform, you grant Writersplaza a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, back up, and display your content only as necessary to operate and provide the service, including forum moderation.

This license:

  • Does not transfer ownership
  • Does not allow us to sell, publish, or exploit your content
  • Ends when your content is deleted, subject to reasonable backup retention

5. AI & Content Use

We do not use user content to train artificial intelligence models or for any purpose beyond providing and maintaining the Platform.

6. Subscriptions & Payments

Writersplaza offers paid subscription plans billed monthly or annually through Stripe.

  • Fees are charged in advance
  • Subscriptions may be cancelled at any time
  • Access continues until the end of the current billing period
  • No refunds for partial periods, except where required by the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015
  • Any free trial, if offered, will clearly state its duration and when billing begins

7. Data & Privacy

We process personal data only as necessary to operate the Platform.

  • No advertising
  • No analytics tracking
  • No sale or sharing of personal data
  • Only strictly necessary cookies (authentication, security, session management)
  • Forum posts and guest inputs are not tracked via cookies

8. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Platform
  • Attempt unauthorized access to systems or data
  • Use the Platform for illegal, abusive, or harmful activities
  • Violate applicable export control or sanctions laws

9. Account Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms.

You may delete your account at any time. Upon deletion:

  • Content is removed from active systems within a reasonable timeframe
  • Secure backups may be retained temporarily for legal or operational purposes

10. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available.”

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Our total liability is limited to the fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim
  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Nothing in these Terms limits liability where such limitation is prohibited by law

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or within the Platform. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
